Dear Gail, the doll arrived today in perfect condition, you did an excellent job of packing her. She is even more beautiful than in the pictures. My husband and I searched all over New Zealand for an authentic well made Maori doll, Christchurch, Rotorua, Auckland and many stops along the way. Waiata is just what I wanted. Thanks for keeping us up to date as we went through the ordering process. By the way, she arrived today on Valentine's Day.

You asked earlier how many dolls I have. That's a good question - I don't really know. I have been collecting dolls ever since I was very young. My father made a career as a dentist in the Air Force and travelled to many foreign countries, as an adult I have continued to travel and collect foreign dolls, I have many American dolls, i.e. Madame Alexander Dolls, I can honestly say Waiata is the most beautiful and authentic of all. My son is engaged to marry a Scottish lass in Scotland and my mother-in-law who is Italian is very keen to give a Maori doll as a wedding gift - that they can treasure for years to come - you might sense that we are a culturally diverse family!

Waiata arrived safely in Levin today. She is absolutely beautiful.
